Daniel Bennett

Prevention Manager

Daniel grew up in Portage County and attended James A Garfield Schools. He is a 2008 Graduate of The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education. After graduation, Daniel taught for three years, before shifting his focus to suicide prevention. Since 2011, he has presented suicide prevention curriculum to thousands of youth and adults throughout Summit County. He holds certifications as an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OCPSA), a Master Trainer for the S.O.S. Signs of Suicide Curriculum, and a Gatekeeper Trainer for both Q.P.R. and Working Minds. Daniel is a member of the Summit County Suicide Prevention Coalition, serving as the Chair of the Education Sub-Committee. He currently lives in Barberton with his wife and their two children.
