Joan Davidson

Chief Program Officer

Joan is a lifelong Akronite and is dedicated to her community through public service. She joined Greenleaf in September 2022, and currently oversees family serving programs including: KISSS/ARMI, Family Success Network and Moms and Babies First.  Prior to joining Greenleaf, she worked as Community Relations Manager at Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority managing their non-profit subsidiary Building for Tomorrow. Joan also served as Executive Director at Interfaith Caregivers and as Academic and Employment Administrator at Oriana House, Inc. for 17 years.

Joan maintained her Adult Education teaching license for 12 years with a Career Development endorsement, was certified to deliver evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy groups, and maintains a lifetime certification in Bridges out of Poverty. She received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and master’s degree from the University of Akron.

What stands out to me about Greenleaf?

I am amazed at the wide reach of programs that Greenleaf offers to our community – a family in need can receive complete wrap around services in one location.
